Thighs + Triceps Workout For Women with Vital Proteins {Plus I’m going to the Dominican Republic with The Her Initiative}

I put together 7 exercises, both strength and heart-raising plyometric exercises, that specifically target the inner thighs and triceps.

The Workout: Thighs + Tris Workout For Women

This thighs and triceps workout for women consists of 7 exercises. You’ll alternate strength exercises with plyometric exercises to raise your heart rate and build muscle. This workout tones and targets common trouble areas — inner thighs and triceps.

Perform the number of repetitions {16 reps / 14 reps / 12 reps} or timed intervals {40 sec / 30 sec / 20 sec} next to each exercise. Using a medium set of dumbbells {pictured here using 10 lb dumbbells}.

Repeat the entire workout x 3 sets, dropping timed intervals with each set.

  1. Relevè Chair + Tricep Kick – 16 Reps
  2. Criss Cross Squats – 40 sec / 30 sec / 20 sec
  3. Pliè Squat + Overhead Triceps – 14 Reps
  4. Low Criss Cross Jacks – 40 sec / 30 sec / 20 sec
  5. Side Lying Inner Thigh + Tricep Kick – Right – 12 Reps
  6. Tricep Push Up Burpee – 40 sec / 30 sec / 20 sec
  7. Side Lying Inner Thigh + Tricep Kick – Left – 12 Reps

I’m going to the Dominican Republic with The Her Initiative

The countdown is on, T-10 days till I’m heading to Santo Domingo, DR with The Her Initiative. While I can’t believe I’m going to leave my baby boy for 5 whole days {GAH}, I’m excited to be part of a trip that will bring clean water, health + hygiene to women in Santo Domingo. An extra special thank you to vital proteins for sponsoring my trip.

If you’ve been following Nourish Move Love for some time you know that The Her Initiative holds a special place in my heart. I teamed up with some Minneapolis bloggers, Fit Foodie Finds and The Real Food Dietitians, to host the first Fit for Her event in Minneapolis 2 years ago {you can see pics from the very first Fit for Her event here}. The second annual Fit for Her Minneapolis event took place in February of this year {when I was 34 weeks preggo, see the video highlight reel below}.

Between these two events Minneapolis has raised over $10K for The Her Initiative {can I get a heck yes?!}!

Clean water is something I take for granted on a daily basis. And being immersed in a culture where something essential, like clean water, isn’t always available will be an eye-opening experience.

I’m excited to share this experience with you and bring awareness to the global water crisis affecting so many around the world. I’m traveling to the DR November 10-14th with a group of women, including Stacie and Jess from The Real Food Dietitians. Although I won’t have internet access to share the trip live, I’ll be sure to recap my experience on the blog in the coming weeks.
