As a fitness instructor who lives in leggings, I’m picky about what I wear and lululemon consistently has been my favorite. Their fabrics, fits and attention to detail set them apart from so many other brands I’ve tested. In this post, I’m sharing the best lululemon leggings for women in 2025, with honest reviews on how each one performs in terms of comfort, compression and durability, and which activities they’re best suited for.
Trying to decide which pair of lululemon leggings is right for you? I have put some of lululemon’s most popular leggings to the test to compare different fabrics, fits, compression, durability and comfort.
I have been a group fitness instructor for over a decade, and basically live in leggings. I purchased my first pair of lululemon leggings almost ten years ago, and never looked back.
A few reasons why I love shopping lululemon include:

Best For: Loungewear, as well as yoga/pilates, low-impact workouts and pregnancy/postpartum.
Details and Tips: The Align High Rise Pant is the most famous pair of leggings on our list (and for good reason). If you’re going to purchase one pair of lululemon leggings, we recommend going with the Aligns. The buttery soft nulu fabric is truly next level when it comes to comfort making them the best lululemon leggings for everyday wear.
The Align Pant also comes in a No-Line High-Rise option, designed without a front seam for a smoother, more flattering fit.
Pro tip: Some of the lighter colors of Align leggings are double-lined for additional coverage. I personally avoid these colors because I don’t like how the thicker material feels. If you see a seam down the outer thigh, it’s double-lined.
Sizing and Fit: These high-rise leggings run slightly large, and come in 23″, 25″, 28″ and 31″ inseams. If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing down. Caroline is 5’5″ and pictured wearing a size 4 in the 25″ Aligns with Pockets.
Best For: Pilates, yoga, barre and everyday wear.
Details and Tips: The Glow Up Super High Rise Tight is designed for low-to-medium impact movement and casual wear. The buttery-soft fabric feels weightless on the skin and provides a second-skin fit that moves with you.
These leggings feature a super high-rise waistband that smooths and flatters through the midsection, offering light compression and a secure, stay-put fit without digging in. They’re ideal for days when you want both comfort and a little extra coverage.
Personally, I reach for the Align leggings for everyday wear since the Glow Up fabric feels a bit more compressive and structured compared to the buttery-soft feel of the Aligns.
Sizing and Fit: These leggings run true to size, and come in 23″, 25″ and 28″. Lindsey is 5’8″ and is pictured wearing a size 6 in the 25″ Glow Up High-Rise Leggings.
Best For: Strength training, yoga and daily wear.
Details and Tips: If the buttery-soft Aligns and compressive Wunder Trains had a baby, it would be the Wunder Unders.
lululemon re-launched this versatile legging with some major upgrades, resulting in a durable training legging that’s comfortable enough to wear all day.
I find the fabric to be more of a smooth support than compressive, which makes these comfortable enough for daily wear.
Sizing and Fit: These leggings run true to size and come in 25″ and 28″ inseams. Lindsey is 5’8″ and is pictured wearing a size 6 in the 25″ Wunder Unders.
Best For: Running and cardio.
Details and Tips: Although most training leggings can be used for running, the Fast and Free Leggings were truly designed for the unique needs of runners.
This lightweight fabric is sweat-wicking, fast-drying, breathable and made with 4-way stretch to move with you through every stride.
I especially loved how many pocket options you have with these – three waistband pockets and two side drop-in pockets for all your essentials.
lululemon’s running gear including these leggings all feature subtle reflective details, which is a nice safety detail for anyone running outdoors.
Sizing and Fit: These leggings run true to size and come in 25″ and 28″ inseams. Lindsey is 5’8″ and pictured wearing a size 6 in the 25″ Fast and Free Leggings.
Best For: Strength training, hiking, hot yoga and spin classes/cycling.
Details and Tips: The Wunder Train High Rise Tight is a staple in my closet. This is my most-worn legging for my own workouts as well as filming days, because the performance fabric can truly hold up to any workout.
These leggings have more compression through the waist and hips, providing more of a “hugged in” feeling and really good shape retention. This provides some support and means you never have to yank up your leggings mid-workout.
I also love that the Wunder Trains come in 2 fits: Classic and Contour Fit. The Contour Fit features an adjusted hip-to-waist ratio perfect for athletic or curvy builds. The Contour Fit is more snug at the waist and has extra room through the hips and thighs.
Sizing and Fit: These leggings run true to size, and come in 23″, 25″, 28″ and 31″ inseams. Megan is 5’5″ and is pictured wearing a size 8 in the 25″ Wunder Train Contour Fit.
The lululemon Align High Rise Pant are some of the most popular women’s leggings on the internet. Buttery soft feel and super flattering, these leggings are the softest lululemon leggings and an essential for any woman. These are designed for low-impact workouts and lounging, but these also are known on the internet for being the number one pregnancy legging.
lululemon leggings are an investment, but one that’s worth making if you regularly workout or wear leggings as part of your everyday wear. lululemon leggings are built to last (each pair I’ve had has lasted me years), and in my opinion, the quality is well worth the price point. That said, I have also found great deals on types of lululemon leggings through the “We Made Too Section” on their website, which is restocked weekly with markdowns on best-selling items.
The lululemon Wunder Train and Fast and Free leggings made with Everlux fabric are the warmest and thickest options. As they are designed to handle high-sweat workouts while still feeling substantial. For even more warmth in colder weather, the fast and free thermal leggings offer a cozy, brushed interior that provides extra insulation.
To make your lululemon leggings last longer, wash them in cold water with similar fabrics and avoid using fabric softeners, which can break down the stretch. Lay them flat or hang to dry instead of using the dryer to help preserve the fabric’s shape and elasticity.
The best lululemon leggings are the ones that make you feel your best — whether you’re crushing a workout, chasing kids, running errands, or just lounging at home. With so many new styles, fabrics, legging lengths and fits to choose from, finding the right pair can make all the difference in how you move and how you feel.
Because it’s not just about performance, it’s about confidence. When your activewear fits well, stays in place, and moves with you, you can focus on what really matters: showing up for yourself, feeling strong, and moving through your day with ease. From the buttery-soft Aligns to the compressive Wunder Trains, lululemon has mastered the balance between comfort, support, and style.
