As a mom and athlete, I prioritize high-quality supplements to ensure I get the proper vitamins and minerals I need every day. Here is an honest look into my morning and nighttime supplement routine; and what I take to prevent getting sick.
I’m often asked which supplements I take and which supplement brands I prefer. After years of trying different brands throughout pregnancy, postpartum and injury recovery, I’ve found the best of the best.
As a mom of three littles, I prioritize an easy supplement routine to stay a healthy and strong. A handful of high-quality, well-researched supplements supports my active lifestyle each morning and night.
While I’d love to think that my balanced, fitness-focused and whole-food lifestyle is sufficient on its own, the reality is that there are a few gaps! As a mom, entrepreneur, and content creator who is constantly on the go, I have a few supplements I take daily to fill in the gaps when my diet isn’t sufficient.
Yes! I’ve personally found that having a daily supplement routine has improved my overall energy, athletic performance and hydration levels. It’s also helped with nausea and fatigue during pregnancy and postpartum.
Daily Supplement Benefits:
As women, the physiological changes we undergo throughout our life necessitate different nutritional needs at key points in life including adolescence, young adulthood, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and post-menopause.
Below I’ve listed my current morning and night supplement routine (at this stage of life, as a mom of three under the age of six).
If you’re at a different stage of life, you can find women’s health supplements here that are specifically formulated to support the unique nutritional needs you have in your current season.

Because I’m raising three little ones — who are often catching a cold — I take extra precautions for myself.
To maintain good health and avoid illness and injury, a daily women’s multivitamin is a good choice to include in your routine. Vitamin D supports bone health and the immune system, while collagen is important for healthy joint function, comfortable movement, and strong connective tissue.
I recommend taking electrolytes before, during or after exercise. Taking electrolytes before exercise allows you to stay ahead of dehydration, prevents muscle cramps and injury, and boosts athletic performance.
While each vitamin is important and performs a significant function in the body, if I had to choose just three vitamins, I would choose a Women’s Multivitamin, Vitamin D and ZMA Capsules. These supplements are essential for staying healthy and strong.
Elderberry and Zinc have been researched for their benefit in supporting healthy immune function to defend against viruses. Drink electrolytes when feeling sick to replenish essential sodium, potassium and magnesium.
My morning and nighttime supplement routine can be purchased through the NOW Foods website (use discount code: NML) or through Amazon. LMNT electrolytes are only available for purchase directly through their website.
With the number of protein powders available, it can be hard to know if your protein powder is healthy and provides well-rounded nutritional benefits. As a family of athletes, prioritizing protein in our diets is a must. My husband and I love the Creamy Vanilla Egg White Protein from NOW Foods.
This protein powder is made of minimal clean ingredients and has been comprehensively tested to ensure it’s safe for athletes. My go-to quick and easy breakfast is protein oats with milk, one scoop of Egg White Protein, and one scoop of Collagen Peptides Powder topped with berries.
The Unflavored Egg White Protein Powder is a great baking substitute for muffins or energy balls, or as a way to add more protein to coffee, smoothies, or pancakes.
