I’ve been sharing snippets of my barre classes on my Instagram stories every Wednesday; and when I shared a glider disc sequence you guys loved it so much I had to turn it into an official blog post.

So here it is, a 30-minute sculpting glider disc barre workout you can do at home. If you don’t have glider discs, try using hand towels on hard wood floors or paper plates on carpet. 

Glider discs are a small addition to your workout, but oh man, can these babies ramp up the intensity! Adding glider discs {towels or paper plates} not only makes each exercise more fluid, but also more challenging as muscle and core {hello abs} engagement is required throughout the full range of motion.

And because I often go straight from barre class to the coffee shop I’m excited to share that today’s post is in partnership with Lumē Deodorant, my natural deodorant of choice.

The Workout: Sculpting Gliding Discs Barre Workout

This one a repetition-based, ‘coming down the ladder’ workout — meaning you’ll start with higher repetitions of each exercise and drop repetitions with each set.

Grab a medium set of dumbbells {5-10 lbs} and glider discs {sub dish towels on hard wood floors or paper plates on carpet}.

Perform each exercise for 10 repetitions, per side as needed, followed by a 30 second break. Then perform each exercise for 8 repetitions, then 6 repetitions…continue this format working your way down from 10 repetitions per exercise to 2 repetition per exercise {dropping 2 reps per set}. 

In total, you’ll repeat each exercise x 5 sets and complete 30 repetitions per exercise.
