I like yoga. But I love HIIT. So I created this Cardio Yoga Workout; you get to stretch and sweat, the best of both world! 

This 20-minute workout consists of four yoga poses, so you get the benefits of standard yoga — mindful stretching, increased flexibility, and core strength.

Paired with 4 higher intensity power-yoga moves to raise your heart rate, so you get the benefits of HIIT — higher calorie and fat burn in short amount of time, and increased strength and bone density that comes with plyometric-based exercises.

As I mentioned in the 10-minute yoga flow I shared a couple weeks ago, yoga is not something I’m good at doing on a regular basis. But my body always appreciates a good yoga flow.

The Workout: Beginner HIIT Cardio Yoga Workout

This beginner HIIT cardio yoga workout consists of 8 exercises — 4 fast-paced, power yoga exercises to raise your heart rate, and 4 isometric yoga poses to hold.

Complete each exercise for 30 seconds. Flow through the entire sequence on the right side of the body, and then repeat on the left side. Repeat all 8 yoga poses x 4 sets {2 sets on the right, and 2 on the left}.
