But in Haiti, I got a glimpse into a life I can’t imagine. A life where daily needs {food, water, shelter} are not met.
Yet, a life where people under these circumstances still have faith. Not, my one-foot in kind of faith. They are all in. They have two feet in, fully dependent on God.
Upon returning from Haiti, a friend shared this quote with me:
So I’m striving to get my two feet firmly rooted with God the only way I know how, diving deeper into His Word.
Dear God,Thank you for renewing my desire to get back into Your Word.Equip me with the armor I need to stand firm on my daily mission field. So that when you ask me to move, I’ll have both feet with you.
I’m hoping to share a full recap on my four days in Haiti soon. From visiting Healing Water’s clean water project sites, including the Fit for Her MPLS funded site in Bainet, Haiti; to running a marathon with Bryce from Run.5050.
You can get a glimpse into my trip here.
It was an adventurous four days, but all done in an effort to raise $15,000 to fully fund another clean water project site for a community in need.
I have a goal of selling 1,000 of these custom Bonfire ‘Fueled by Water’ t-shirts and sweatshirts which will in turn raise $15,000 to fully fund a Healing Water’s clean water project site.
I started to delve into your website first for the exercise and nutrition advice. But then I began reading your devotionals. I love that you not only help us take care of our body, but care for the soul. Keep up the great work!
Leilani! I’m so glad you came across my blog and dug in a little deeper to find the devotional posts as well! Thank you so much for digging in and reading. Adding faith-based posts has been such a big accountability factor to disciplining myself to stay on top of my personal relationship with God + exploring His Word! Thanks so much for following along! -Lindsey
