Does anyone feel this way about summer {specifically MN summers}?! We dive into June and suddenly, boom it’s the end of August.
As the photos on my phone will tell you, this summer has been rich. From recent trips to the ocean, to the everyday staring out the window, over a sink of dishes, to my two favorite boys playing in the backyard {the moment I dreamed of when we bought out house 3 years ago}.
My heart is so full from these moments. I wish I could say my heart for Jesus was this rich and full right now.
But if I’m to be totally honest, this summer has been {and always seems to be} a pause button in my spiritual growth. I’ve been reading my daily devotional, praying, singing worship songs in the car, but I haven’t been digging into The Word.
Just as summer vanishes away, I’m reminded that my days may be a midst, but Jesus — Jesus is eternity {John 3:16}.
So in an effort to inch closer to eternity with Jesus each and every day, I’m diving back into The Word and if you want to join me here are the studies I’m committing to:
1. Six Notes Clothing ‘Meaning of Salt’ Bible Study {get the free study here}
2. Haley Morgan’s new ‘Pennies are for Wishing’ 4-Week Bible Study {available as a free download on her site}
Dear God,
May I continue hard after you all of my days.Because my days are numbered {Job 14:5-7}, but you are eternity {John 3:16}.
Make me alive enough to spend my days inching closer to eternity with You!
