I took an online poll to see what types of workouts you guys wanted to see more of on the blog and Yoga + HIIT was a clear winner! With Thighs + Tris as the runner up, so stay tuned for that workout hitting the blog later this month.
Here it is, my take on a yoga + HIIT fusion workout you can do at home with optional use of a yoga block. My favorite part about this workout is that it’s an 8-exercise AMRAP; which means you repeat the 8, repetition-based exercises as many rounds as possible in the allotted amount of time you have.
Have 10 minutes to spare on your lunch break? How about setting your alarm 20 minutes early? Or breaking a sweat in 30 minutes while your dinner is in the over? Whether you have 10, 20, or 30 minutes this Yoga + HIIT workout will add a metabolic boost to your day.
And because you squeeze this workout into your day no matter how much time you have; I’ve teamed up with my friends at Athleta to share their new leggings — from yoga to HIIT and street to home, athleta leggings perform.
For this yoga + HIIT workout I’m wearing the athleta mesh shine salutation 7/8 tight with the athleta essence tie back tank {as noted in my Q+A post, these are my favorite tanks for nursing in public. They easily double into a wearable nursing cover}. Get more of my favorite athleta looks below.

This 10/20/30 minute yoga + HIIT workout consists of 8 exercises; alternating bodyweight, yoga-strength exercises with HIIT exercises for an effective yoga + HIIT workout .
Perform the number of repetitions next to each exercise {12 or 20 reps} and repeat the entire workout AMRAP {as many rounds as possible} in 10/20/30 minutes {whatever you have time for}.
Optional use of a yoga block to add an extra challenge to the workout.
*Repeat AMRAP {as many rounds as possible} in 10/20/30 minutes; whatever you have time for.

It’s no secret that I live in leggings. So when my fellow fitness instructor Chris Freytag {from gethealthyutv.com} said I had to try the new powervita mesh shine salutation leggings from athleta I was all over it.
These mesh shine salutation leggings, pictured above, are a new favorite. I’m pretty sure I need to get them in navy and plum too, because when you find leggings you love, like really love, you need them in every color.
They are high-waisted, 7/8 which is my favorite legging length, and have that ‘barely there’ feeling while keeping you ‘hugged in’. The perfect combo, you know what I mean ladies!
The mesh shine salutation leggings are part of Athleta’s yoga line, but I personally where them for all types of workouts {and athleisure wear}. However, if you are looking for a thicker, performance legging, I suggest the athleta leggings, pictured below.
As for tanks, I’m on a tie back tank kick since they easily double as a nursing cover. The essence tie back tank is a personal favorite and comes if several colors, but I’m loving the Abyss color, pictured below.
And since I’m obsessed with the new powervita fabric, I couldn’t resist the new powervita inversion tank 2.0 {also pictured below}.
From yoga to HIIT and coffee shop to crawling on the floor with your little, athleta leggings have you covered!
