5 Minute Burpee Challenge for a Cause

Are you up for a challenge? A 5 minute burpee challenge that is! Be part of ending the global water crisis by doing this 5 minute burpee challenge. For every person that completes this challenge I will personally donate $5 to The Her Initiative to help bring clean water to women in need {full details below}.

5 minutes of burpees. I know, it sounds nuts…and honestly, it is! I know because I’ve done it {see the video below}.

But I’m not challenging you to do 5 minutes of burpees to see if you’re as crazy as me, or to see if you can get as many burpees as me. No. I’m challenging you to do 5 minutes of burpees to help end the global water crisis. 

1.8 billion people still do not have access to safe, clean drinking water. But there is a solution. After seeing the impact clean water can have first-hand during my trip to the Dominican, I’m motivated to be part of that solution, and I want you to be part of it too.

So what can you do right now to help? You can do this 5 minute burpee challenge. For every person who completes the 5 minute burpee challenge, as outlined below, I will personally donate $5 in their honor to The Her Initiative — an organization which brings clean water, health and hygiene to women and children in need.

The 5 Minute Burpee Challenge 

Help end the global water crisis by completing this 5 minute burpee challenge. All you have to do is:

  1. Set a timer for 5 minutes and complete as many burpees as you personally can in 5 minutes. You can do standard chest-to-floor burpees as shown in my video below, or you can choose from any of these 8 burpee variations, or modify a burpee that works best for you.
  2. Counting your reps is optional. I’m competitive by nature and like to count mine to see if I can beat my number each time I attempt this challenge. All I ask is that you give it your max effort for 5 minutes, striving for max reps and taking as few breaks as possible.
  3. Once you complete the challenge comment below on this blog post, or my Instagram or Facebook posts, and I will personally donate $5 to The Her Initiative for every person that completes the challenge. If you want to take a photo or video of yourself before or after the challenge to help spread the word on social that’s even better!

This is completely on your honor, so I trust that you will be honest. I will donate $5 for every person who completes the challenge up to a max of $1,000.

Third Annual Fit for Her MPLS Event Saturday, Feb. 24th

Additionally, I’ve partnered with The Real Food RD’s to host a fitness fundraising event in Minneapolis on Saturday, February 24th with all proceeds benefiting The Her Initiative.

We have a goal of raising $15K to fully fund a water project with The Her Initiative and Healing Waters for a community in need.
