Recipe type: green smoothie
Serves: 1
Ingredients
  • 1 c water or milk of choice {or ½ c water and ½ c milk}
  • 1 c spinach
  • ½ banana {i use frozen banana, peel removed}
  • ¼-1/2 c walnuts
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • ice
  • optional: 1 scoop whey, hemp or vegan protein of choice
  • optional: 1 tbsp nut butter
Instructions
  1. blend all ingredients together until you get desired consistency for drinking. {i add extra ice as i personally love mine freezing cold}.
  2. feel free to add additional health superfoods to your green smoothie if you have them on hand as well {aloe, 1 tsp bee pollen, 1 tsp cod liver oil, 1 tsp spirinula, 1 tbsp maca, 1 tsp matcha and more}.
Notes
*not all ingredients are required to make the 'perfect' smoothie {there is no such thing as the perfect smoothie in my world} use what you have on hand and play around with the ingredients/additions until you find what tickles your tastebuds.
**i like to double the ingredients and make 2-3 green smoothies at a time. i pour the leftovers into mason jars and freeze. i let thaw in my fridge overnight so i can grab and go in the morning.
