yay! it’s my second ‘things i love’ post. so here’s how it’s going down. i am going to share things that bring a big, squinty-eyed smile to my face {like the picture above}. like 3 things i personally love right now, 3 things i’m currently working on {accountability goals} and 3 things for the fit girl in you.

3 things i personally love right now

1. my travel schedule. not only did i just get back from an epic week of business training in Vail, CO where I had the opportunity to hike some of the best trails in the U.S., but in August I’ll be heading to Cali and Chicago to watch my stud muffin husband play beach volleyball on the AVP tour. feeling pretty blessed as I love to travel.

2. breakfast dates. seriously I felt like a giddy high school girl going on my first date again, who says date have to be dinner…I like breakfast better anyways.

3. weddings. everyone is just so happy at weddings. you get to see your family/friends, sip wine {sometimes it’s even free}, eat good food and it’s a great excuse to have cake {or chocolate covered blueberries}.

3 things i’m currently working on

1. being patient. with myself and my new business. patience is a virtue {but sometimes I wish God would give it to me right now}.

2. letting go of perfectionism. Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat Pray Love and Big Magic {her new book launching this fall, which I can’t wait to read} says it best, “Too many women still believe that they are not allowed to put themselves forward in the world at all, until both they and their work are perfect and beyond criticism. Meanwhile, putting forth work that is imperfect rarely stops men from participating in the global, cultural conversation. Just sayin’.”

3. pull ups. my goal is 10 by the end of August {I’ve got lots of work to do}.

3 things for the fit girl in you

1. shut up and dance. play this song and dance around your living room, at least once daily. it’s good for the soul.

2. summer farmer’s markets. hit up at least one more farmer’s market before summers over {seriously it’s flying by}. find your local farmer’s market here. and grab all the fresh ingredients you need to make this delicious farmer’s market salad with creamy avocado-cilantro dressing.

3. 5 minute journal app. download this app {or you can buy the actual hard copy journal}. it’s brilliant. take 3-5 min every morning to log quick gratitudes and set your intentions for the day.
