So nesting…it’s a real thing. I’ve officially started nesting and actually knocked out most of my ‘nesting’ to-do list with the help of my mom and dad this past weekend.
My mom and I gave the house a thorough scrub down while my dad hung pictures and stabilized the new changing table in the nursery.
With the nursery mostly done and our lamaze birthing classes complete, I’m finally starting to feel ready for baby to arrive. I’m wrapping up my baby showers this weekend and then it’s officially time to snuggle in, get baby b’s clothes washed, pack a hospital bag, and prep some maxi pads in the freezer 🙂 {I’ll try to keep my oversharing of the glamorous and juicy details of pregnancy and labor to a minimum}.
Speaking of sharing juicy details, I’ve had some inquiries about my gender-neutral nursery. So I thought I’d give you a little preview into baby b’s nursery.
Let me start by saying decorating is not my thing; so I’m following the gender-neutral nursery dècor trends of simple gray walls, white trim, and neutral furniture.
Additionally, our nursery is a fairly small room so we are sticking to the furniture essentials — crib, glider, and changing table. To avoid over-cluttering the small space, dècor is limited. But I think what we do have really adds to the room, like the Lorena Canals Indian Rug pictured above. Learn more about this rug and new baby products I can’t wait to use below!

Lorena Canals Machine Washable Rugs
Let’s start with that beautiful Lorena Canals Indian Rug I mentioned above. Not only does this accent rug easily add some color and dynamic to the gray and white nursery, but it’s machine washable. So when baby inevitably has an accident on the rug we can simply machine wash the rug at home. Yay!

Since we have a small nursery and home I didn’t register for any ‘baby containers’ and plan to use our versatile DockATot around the house. The DockATot is a multi-functional lounging, playing, resting and snuggling dock for babies and tots 0-36 months.
