I can’t believe Thanksgiving is two days away. i’m not sure if it’s the record-breaking warm weather we are having in Minnesota or the fact that i’m basking in the sun on beaches of Punta Cana, but it just doesn’t feel like it should be Thanksgiving already.
but in typical holiday fashion i’m sharing two incredibly delicious, yet surprisingly healthy holiday desserts from my favorite dietitians, stacie and jessica, at The Real Food RDs.Â
whether you need a last minute dessert for thanksgiving or a guiltless sweet tooth fix, these sweet treats are sure to hit the spot.
looking for a bake-and-fuss-free dessert, then these are for you. easily whip up the almond butter, pumpkin puree and coconut butter filling and roll it into balls in under 15 minutes. and after a 30 minute chill in the fridge they’re ready for dipping. which is where you can add you’re own personal touch — dipping in dark and/or white chocolate.
The dark chocolate is richer and plays nicely with the warmth of the cinnamon and nutmeg in the pumpkin pie spice. but if you like things sweeter, the white chocolate definitely sweetens things up a bit.
and this recipe was recently featured by just eat real food so you know it’s a fan favorite.Â
if you’re looking for that ooey-gooey, fudgy, chocolatey, o-so-good brownie to round out your menu, you will love these brownie bites. added bonus, this recipe includes some true power foods that aren’t typically found in brownies — avocado and sweet potato {or sub pumpkin}.
i’ll let you be the one to tell the family that the chocolaty goodness they’re eating is actually avocado and sweet potatoes and see if they believe you…or you can keep it you’re own little secret.
Just when I’m trying to kick my sweet tooth, you post some deliciously healthy sweet treats 🙂 Can’t wait to try!
Tis the season for sweet treats right?! And these are the ones you don’t have to feel guilty about eating so it’s the perfect way to shamelessly curb your sweet tooth :)!
These all look like my kind of desserts, I’ll have to try one (OK, three)!
Yes! So good and you can guiltlessly indulge in these sweet treats 🙂
