Creamy Greens {spinach, cucumber, avocado and hemp}


one of the biggest requests i’ve received is to share green smoothie recipes with simpler and fewer ingredients. offtta, was that a relief for me and my whole foods grocery bill.

i am loving this ‘simpler’ approach to recipes, and have actually decided to make this simple, 5 {ish) ingredient recipe format my new standard.

that’s right, i am going to do my very best to make my green smoothie and real food recipes all simple 5 ingredient recipes that can be purchased from local grocery stores or farmers markets. and because i know you’ll be craving more, my new online training programs, launching this fall, will also have 50+ simple, 5 ingredient recipes.

so let’s get this 5 ingredient recipe party started with this simple, creamy green smoothie.

simple creamy green smoothie with 5 ingredients: aloe or water, spinach, cucumber, avocado and hemp.
Recipe type: green smoothie
Serves: 2
  • 1 c aloe juice or water
  • 1 c spinach
  • 1 small cucumber or ½ large cucumber
  • ½ avocado
  • 2 tbsp hemp
  • ice
  1. blend all ingredients together until you get desired consistency for drinking. {i add extra ice as i personally love mine freezing cold}.
  2. feel free to add these health superfoods to your green smoothie if you have them on hand as well {1 tsp bee pollen, 1 tsp cod liver oil, 1 tsp spirinula, 1 tbsp maca, 1 tsp of powered tumeric or pinki size chunk, 1" chunk ginger, 1 tsp matcha}.
*not all ingredients are required to make the 'perfect' smoothie {there is no such thing as the perfect smoothie in my world} use what you have on hand and play around with the ingredients/additions until you find what tickles your tastebuds.
