2017 year in review {top 5 most viewed workouts + recipes of 2017}

And that’s a wrap 2017 — recapping the top 5 most viewed workout and recipe posts of 2017; and sharing a sneak peek into 2018!

2017 year in review | www.nourishmovelove.com

2017, you were one heck of a roller coaster! To sum things up, professionally —> best year ever; personally —> hardest year ever.

Best year ever because…NML saw massive growth {like site traffic increased by 7x}! It’s rewarding to feel like the past two years of hustling my buns off is paying dividends. But of course, I still see so much room for growth in 2018.

Hardest year ever because…well, I’m not sure if it was having a baby paired with postpartum anxiety and depression, or performing cpr on my mom {yeah, more on that story to come in 2018}, or my husband getting a new job and traveling more, or the burst pipe that flooded our basement, or a combination of it all that really tested me personally this year.

But all in all, I wouldn’t change a thing because I learned, I grew, and sometimes going through the hard stuff makes the good stuff that much more sweet. Ultimately, this sums up my 2017, ‘the God inside of me, it bigger than the giant in front of me.’

So let’s look at the highlights of 2017…

*I do have to note, while these stats look really awesome, I’m still a fairly new blog {2.5 years old}; so I had a lot of room to grow. That said, I’m excited about this year’s growth and looking forward to hopefully continuing this growth in 2018.

what’s next for nourish move love in 2018?

NML 2018 Sneak Peek

  1. More awesome workouts + workout videos! The focus of NML will continue to be sharing fitness content. Per your feedback my goal is to hopefully partner with a couple brands to actually share full-length, 20-30 minute workout videos {if you’re a brand and would like to partner on an initiative like this you can email [email protected]}!
  2. Website redesign + overhaul. It’s only been 2.5 years since NML launched, but I feel like my site is so outdated. So I’d love to give the site a fresh new look and make my content more searchable and user-friendly {goal of launching the new site by the end of 2018, suggestions welcome}.
  3. More Rachel. You guys haven’t met Rachel yet, but she’s been helping NML behind the scenes for the past several months, and she’s fabulous! Rachel helps with everything from scheduling social content to pulling together recipe round up posts and a whole lot more!
  4. More PinterestPinterest is currently the number one traffic driver to NML and was a top focus in 2017; this will continue to be a focus in 2018 as well.
  5. Possibly more mom/lifestyle/fitness lookbook content. Do you want to see more fit mom/lifestyle/fitness lookbook content {tell me in this survey}?!
  6. Fit for Her MPLS 3rd Annual Event is officially happening on Saturday, February 24th. Mark your calendars and make sure you’re on my email list, more details to come. I’ve teamed up with Stacie and Jess from The Real Food RD’s for this event and we have a goal to raise $15K to fully fund a water project site in the Dominican Republic.
  7. New GHUTV Real Results Challenge launching in January. You’re the first to know and you can get all the details, plus my 45-minute arms + abs workout, here. Remember to use promo code: LindseyGold20 when you sign up to get your first year for only $20.
  8. And more brand collaborations {which allows me to share free content with you}! Currently I’m working on projects with Land O’ Lakes {and the 2018 Farm Bowl}, NOW Foods, and American Heart Association of MN.

These are my plans, but i want to hear from you, what do you want to see more of in 2018?! please do me a big favor and take this 10 question, reader survey {click this link or complete the survey below}!

one final thought…

NML 2015-2017

When I started NML I had zero intentions of ever becoming a blogger/influencer. I’m not sure if I thought I was going to be the next Tony Horton?! but I took a massive leap of faith and spent my life savings on creating workout videos that I was going to sell on this site.

My path changed direction, I met some amazing people in the blogging space {I’m looking at you Fit Foodie Finds, gethealthyu.com and The Real Food RD’s} and here I am today.

There have been numerous times when I’ve wanted to throw in the towel in the last 2.5 years; especially this year {to be honest NML almost shut down like 10 times this year}.

But ever since I was a little girl my dad always told me, ‘you can do anything you set your mind to.’

And I’ve set my mind to seeing NML succeed. I’ve set my mind to sharing content that helps women and mothers create a lifestyle and body they love. I’ve set my mind to making career that allows me to do what I love with the flexibility of being a great mom.

But no matter how hard I set my mind to these things…none of this would be possible without you reading this post right now.

thank you…

thank each and every one of you who’ve landed on this site. thank you for every comment, like, follow. thank you for allowing me to use this platform to share content while also supporting my family!

speaking of my family, I owe another big thank you to my friends and family who have supported me throughout this crazy rollercoaster of year! A very special thanks to my handsome, supportive, and very patient husband who agreed to let me quit my job and pursue this crazy dream and has been cheering me on ever since.

If you made it to the end of this long-winded post, bless your soul! Merry Christmas, happy new year and cheers to 2018!
