Pray often. Eat your veggies. Move your body. Love yourself + others.
2017, you were one heck of a roller coaster! To sum things up, professionally —> best year ever; personally —> hardest year ever.
Best year ever because…NML saw massive growth {like site traffic increased by 7x}! It’s rewarding to feel like the past two years of hustling my buns off is paying dividends. But of course, I still see so much room for growth in 2018.
Hardest year ever because…well, I’m not sure if it was having a baby paired with postpartum anxiety and depression, or performing cpr on my mom {yeah, more on that story to come in 2018}, or my husband getting a new job and traveling more, or the burst pipe that flooded our basement, or a combination of it all that really tested me personally this year.
But all in all, I wouldn’t change a thing because I learned, I grew, and sometimes going through the hard stuff makes the good stuff that much more sweet. Ultimately, this sums up my 2017, ‘the God inside of me, it bigger than the giant in front of me.’
*I do have to note, while these stats look really awesome, I’m still a fairly new blog {2.5 years old}; so I had a lot of room to grow. That said, I’m excited about this year’s growth and looking forward to hopefully continuing this growth in 2018.
These are my plans, but i want to hear from you, what do you want to see more of in 2018?! please do me a big favor and take this 10 question, reader survey {click this link or complete the survey below}!

I don’t step back to look at the site/social analytics nearly as much as I should, but I always love writing this post because it forces me to see what performed well in 2017.
I must admit, I’m usually surprised by the top performers…
Missing from the above lists is another top performing post that lives in the lifestyle category, My Favorite Fit Pregnancy Products. This post is attracting a lot of new mamas to NML. I love my growing #fitmom audience and want to know if you want to see more ‘lifestyle/favorites’ posts in 2018?
now that you know what was popular in 2017. tell me what do you want to see on the blog in 2018? please take this 10 question, reader survey!
When I started NML I had zero intentions of ever becoming a blogger/influencer. I’m not sure if I thought I was going to be the next Tony Horton?! but I took a massive leap of faith and spent my life savings on creating workout videos that I was going to sell on this site.
My path changed direction, I met some amazing people in the blogging space {I’m looking at you Fit Foodie Finds, gethealthyu.com and The Real Food RD’s} and here I am today.
There have been numerous times when I’ve wanted to throw in the towel in the last 2.5 years; especially this year {to be honest NML almost shut down like 10 times this year}.
But ever since I was a little girl my dad always told me, ‘you can do anything you set your mind to.’
And I’ve set my mind to seeing NML succeed. I’ve set my mind to sharing content that helps women and mothers create a lifestyle and body they love. I’ve set my mind to making career that allows me to do what I love with the flexibility of being a great mom.
But no matter how hard I set my mind to these things…none of this would be possible without you reading this post right now.
thank each and every one of you who’ve landed on this site. thank you for every comment, like, follow. thank you for allowing me to use this platform to share content while also supporting my family!
speaking of my family, I owe another big thank you to my friends and family who have supported me throughout this crazy rollercoaster of year! A very special thanks to my handsome, supportive, and very patient husband who agreed to let me quit my job and pursue this crazy dream and has been cheering me on ever since.
If you made it to the end of this long-winded post, bless your soul! Merry Christmas, happy new year and cheers to 2018!
